Local bookkeeping and accounting specialist, GoFi8ure, has scooped the 2015 Bookkeeping Community Contributor of the Year award at the recent New Zealand Bookkeepers Association Inc (NZBAI) conference in Auckland.
Mark Futter, Chief Executive of the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry says: “Lisa and the team at GoFi8ure are extremely active members of the Hutt Valley and Wellington business community. They regularly put their time, ideas, energy, creativity and sponsorship into business initiatives. It is with their help that we have created the thriving business hub that we have here today not only in the Hutt Valley but also across the wider Wellington Region.”
The award also commended GoFi8ure’s instrumental leadership role in creating and developing the bookkeeping association – the NZBAI – which provides accreditation, professional development and a national network for bookkeepers.
Lisa Martin comments: “We are absolutely delighted to win this award. When you are passionate about where you work and what you do, you just can’t help being involved in everything that is going on. We see the local and regional business communities as an extension of our own company. We all want to succeed, we all want to grow, we all want to be the best at what we do – and in our world it makes sense to join forces and work together for the greater good of the area as well as the industry you are in.”
GoFi8ure was also presented with the 2015 Bookkeeping Marketing Innovation award at the NZBAI conference. This recognised the company’s bold, superhero branding and its creative approach to changing the perception of bookkeeping as an old-fashioned compliance task to a thoroughly modern, integral part of the success of any business.
GoFi8ure holds the Education in Business Award from the 2014 Hutt Valley Business Excellence Awards; Lisa holds the 2014 Leadership Award.
GoFi8ure’s Hutt Valley office is along Upper Hutt’s Gibbons Street. The company also has an office in Wellington’s CBD, a mobile team to reach the Greater Wellington suburbs and a branch in Auckland.
